Admission Process to Our RRB Coaching :

  • Since the number of applications for admission into our RRB Coaching is far in excess of the available seats. We have chosen the principle of “first-come-first-served” as the basis of admission in our institute.
  • The candidates or their representatives are required to be present at Roy Academy office, with the duly filled-up application form with two passport size photographs, photo copy of valid photo ID & Address Proof of the candidate.
  • Payment mode: Fee is to be paid by cash / card. Fees once paid cannot be refunded under any circumstances. Course fees includes: Classes, Class Tests ,Unit Tests, Mock Tests and Study Materials.
  • After admission to any of the course, if there is any indiscipline or misbehavior on the part of the students, they may be expelled, without any explanation. The right to rusticate rests solely with the management.
  • Allotment of batch is the discretion of the institute. Preference of batch may be offered to the students during admission, provided it is available.

RRB ALP stands for Railway recruitment board Assistant Loco Pilot. Railway recruitment board conducts an examination known as RRB ALP & Technician exam to recruit Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician for different railway zones across the country. It is a national level entrance exam and is held in different stages, The First Stage CBT, Second Stage CBT, Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) and Document Verification.

RRB ALP Eligibility

The RRB ALP post requires a candidate to have certain qualifications.

The qualification requirements for the RRB ALP are as follows:

RRB ALP 2021 Eligibility - Based on Nationality:  

(i) A candidate must be either:

  • a citizen of India, or

  • a subject of Nepal, or

  • a subject of Bhutan, or

  • a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

  • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

(ii)  A candidate who needs an eligibility certificate can be allowed for the examination but he/she can receive the offer of appointment only after the Government has issued an eligibility certificate to them.

RRB ALP 2021 Eligibility - Based on Age Limit:

  • The Age Limit for any post of ALP and Technician is from 18-28 years.

RRB ALP 2021 Eligibility - Based on Education:

  • Candidates should have the Educational/Technical qualifications indicated for notified posts from a recognized Institute/University

  • Those awaiting results of the final examination of the prescribed educational/technical qualification SHOULD NOT apply.

  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering will not be accepted in lieu of a course completed Act Apprenticeship /ITI for the post of Technicians unless otherwise specified.

  • Graduate Act Apprentice will not be accepted in lieu of Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA).

  • Total Duration: 2 hours and 30 Minutes (for Part A and Part B together)

Computer Based Aptitude Test:

  • Qualifying marks: The candidate needs to secure a minimum score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify. This is applicable to all candidates and no relaxation is permissible.

  • Candidates equal to 8 times number of ALP vacancies shall be shortlisted for Computer Based AT (based on their performance in Part A of the Second Stage CBT subject to their qualifying the Part B of Second Stage CBT). 

  • Candidates will have to qualify in each of the test battery of Computer-Based AT for considering them for the post of ALP.

  • The Computer-Based Aptitude Test shall have questions and answer options only in English and Hindi. There shall be no negative marking in Computer-Based AT.

  • The ALP merit list will be drawn only from amongst the candidates qualifying in the Aptitude Test, with 70% weightage for the marks obtained in Part A of Second Stage CBT and 30% weightage for the marks obtained in Computer-Based AT.

Shortlisting of Candidates:

  • Shortlisting of Candidates for the Second Stage CBT exam shall be based on the normalized marks obtained by them in the First Stage CBT Exam.

  • The total number of candidates to be shortlisted for the second stage shall be 15 times the community wise total vacancy of ALP and Technician Posts notified against the RRB as per their merit in First Stage CBT.

  • However, Railways reserve the right to increase/decrease this limit in total or for any specific trade(s) as required to ensure availability of adequate candidates for all the notified posts.

  • The marks scored in Part A alone shall be used for shortlisting of candidates for further stages of the recruitment process subject to the condition that the candidate is securing qualifying mark in Part B.

  • Part B is qualifying in nature and shall have questions from the trade syllabus prescribed by Director General of Employment & Training (DGET).

    RRB ALP 2021 Syllabus - Part A

    The syllabus for Part A shall be as below:

    • Mathematics: Number system, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Mensuration, Time and Work; Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Square Root, Age Calculations, Calendar & Clock, Pipes & Cistern etc.

    • General Intelligence and Reasoning: Analogies, Alphabetical and Number Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical operations, Relationships, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Conclusions and decision making, Similarities and differences, Analytical reasoning, Classification, Directions, Statement – Arguments and Assumptions etc.

    • Basic Science and Engineering: The broad topics that are covered under this shall be Engineering Drawing (Projections, Views, Drawing Instruments, Lines, Geometric figures, Symbolic Representation), Units, Measurements, Mass Weight and Density, Work Power and Energy, Speed and Velocity, Heat and Temperature, Basic Electricity, Levers and Simple Machines, Occupational Safety and Health, Environment Education, IT Literacy etc.

    • General Awareness of Current Affairs in Science & Technology, Sports, Culture, Personalities, Economics, Politics and any other subjects of importance.

RRB Group D 2021 Eligibility

The recruitment board has set up various parameters for the eligibility criteria for the RRB Group D 2021 exam. The aspirants must refer to the information given below and ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria before applying for the RRB Group D 2021 examination.

RRB Group D 2021 Nationality

All the interested candidate should be-

  • an Indian citizen, or
  • a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
  • a Tibetan refugee (who came to India before January 01, 1962, with the intention of settling in India permanently).

RRB Group D 2021 educational qualification

  • The candidate should be have passed Class X, or ITI from any institution recognized by NCVT/ SCVT/ or Equivalent, or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT. If the candidate has completed Diploma/ Engineering, the application will not be accepted.
  • Candidates who are awaiting their final examination result cannot apply for the RRB Group D 2021.

RRB Group D 2021 age limit

The age of the candidate must be between 18 to 33 years, to be eligible for the exam. The RRB Group D age relaxations given to several reserved categories are given below.

RRB 2021 Group D Exam Pattern

  • The total duration of the exam is 90 minutes.
  • There will be a total of 100 questions, out of which 55 questions from Mathematics and Reasoning Topic; 45 questions from General Science, General Knowledge, and Current Affairs.
  • There will be negative marking. 1/3 of the marks will be deducted for every incorrect response.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

The physical efficiency test requirements for both male and female candidates are given below. All candidates must successfully finish the task in the first attempt.

Male Candidates:

  • Carry the weight of 35 kg for a distance of 100 meters in two minutes.
  • Run for a distance of 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds.
  • The candidates will not be allowed for a second try if they fail to complete the test in one go.

Female Candidates:

  • Carry the weight of 20 kg for a distance of 100 meters in two minutes.
  • Run for a distance of 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds
  • The candidates will not be allowed for a second try if they fail to complete the test in one go.

Important Instruction on CBT for RRB 2021 Group D Exam

  • Candidates must carry a valid ID proof along with e-Call Letter/ Admit Card.
  • Electronic devices, calculators, bangles, belts, bracelets, metallic wears, etc. are not allowed inside the exam hall.
  • Candidates are advised not to wear Mehandi/ Henna on their left thumb which would affect the registration processes.
  • The Self Declaration paragraph will be displayed on the computer before the examination which the candidates should copy it in the e-Call Letter only in the exam hall.
  • Candidates should click on Save and Next once they have selected their answers. 
  • Any form of malpractices will not be entertained and the candidates will be disqualified immediately from the exam.
